Parent-Teacher & Scholar conferences will be held on Tuesday, October 21st and Thursday, October 23rd from 5-7pm. Report cards will be given at conferences only! A form has been sent home in this week’s Thursday folder for scholars in Pre-kindergarten through 8 so that parents/guardians can schedule. Conferences are scheduled based on return of form and time available. If there are any questions, please call the school office.
We will be issuing test results for the first round of the NWEA testing that scholars in kindergarten through 8 took during September. Instructions on how to read the results is included. Another round of testing will occur in January. If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call your scholar’s teacher or Miss Gilbride, Seton Education Partner Site Manager, at 513.381.2126.
8th GRADE PARENT MEETING
There will be a mandatory meeting for ALL eighth grade parents/guardians on Tuesday, October 7 at 5:30pm. This meeting will be regarding high school planning for next year. If there are any questions, please call Mr. Younger.
October 1st has come and gone, and now all scholars should be in their Fall/Winter Uniform. This means:
· NO SHORTS! Scholars in Pre-kindergarten (Class of 2028- Class of 2023). For gym, sweatpants and long-sleeve t-shirts are available in the office.
· Scholars in grades 5-8 (Class of 2022-Class of MUST have on a white blouse/shirts with a tie/cross-tie.

NATIONAL THEATRE FOR CHILDREN
Our school is hosted an energy efficiency play. As a part of the program, each family can sign up to receive their own free “Treasure Kit” that contains different items to help save energy around the house! LADY PANTHERS BASKETBALL - Our girls’ basketball teams have their next game Wednesday, October 8 at 6:30pm. Both teams will be playing at the same time. Our 3rd-5 th Grade team will be playing against St. Boniface, and the 6th-8th grade team against St. Francis DeSales. All games will be played at the NEW Friars Club, located at 4300 Vine Street in St. Bernard (next to Roger Bacon HS). GOOD LUCK GIRLS!!

Looking for a fun way to improve your youngster’s concentration? Try this quick game. The first player makes one motion, like clapping or spinning around. The second person copies them and adds another movement. Continue adding new motions until someone forgets the sequence. The last player to get it right starts a new game.
“HOT MUSIC” BOOT CAMP
Be a part of the Principal’s Challenge!! Yes, you are being challenged to work out on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-7 pm with Principal Partee.
Boot Camp is being offered in our school gym for parents/guardians, faculty, staff and friends over the age of 18. The cost is $7 per session. GREATER CINCINNATI PERFORMING ARTS SOCIETY
This organization was founded in 2007 with a mission of supporting Catholic elementary education by means of tuition assistance, such as St. Joseph Catholic School. They are inviting everyone to their series of performances for the 2014-2015 school year. The first two shows are:
• Saturday, October 25th will bring the Annie Moses Band at the McAuley Performing Arts Center at 7:30 PM.
• 1964 The Tribute is the number one Beatle tribute band in the world and will be featured on November 22nd.

CAREER ONLINE HIGH SCHOOL
Adult residents of Hamilton County now have the opportunity to get their accredited high school diploma and career certification online through a new service from the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. The Library has launched Career Online High School and is providing a limited number of free scholarships to qualified adult learners looking to advance their careers, prepare for workforce entry and continue their education.
